eTelecare Global Solutions Wins Outstanding Employer of the Year Award
eTelecare Global Solutions was named the winner of the Philippines' most prestigious human resources award, “Outstanding Employer of the Year”, by the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). PMAP is the country's leading human resources management association, with more than 1000 corporate members. Each year, PMAP presents the award to a company that excels in leadership, strategic human resource planning, human resource focus, process management and business results. Past winners have included Pfizer, Unilab, Unilever, Globe Telecom, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Del Monte, IBM, Procter & Gamble and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.
eTelecare Global Solutions (eGS) Chairman Alfredo I. Ayala accepted the award at the 29 th PMAP Annual Awards Night, on September 29. At a ceremony attended by more than a thousand senior human resources managers, Mr. Ayala said that the victory reaffirms eGS' core belief that “if we treat our people right, we will reap many rewards.”

In a letter, PMAP president Lina Aseneta congratulated eGS for being “the best of the best.” She added that PMAP looks forward to eGS' continued contributions to the Philippines' economic growth. Philippine Senators Ramon Magsaysay, Jr. and Mar Roxas; Director General of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Lilia B. DeLima; and Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry, Peter B. Favila, also offered their congratulations.
eTelecare Global Solutions was selected for the award by a panel of judges led by De La Salle University Graduate School of Business Dean Philip Ella Juico. The panel also consisted of former University of the East President and Cultural Center of the Philippines Chairman Dr. Baltazar Endriga; Gerardo Bacarro, President and Country Manager of the 2004 Employer of the Year, Pfizer Philippines; and GMA Channel 7 vice-president Joel Marcelo Jimenez.
